Turtle Lake, North Dakota
Turtle Lake is a city in McLean County, North Dakota, United States. The population was 581 at the 2010 census. Turtle Lake was founded in 1905. The mass murder of eight people, being seven family members plus a hired boy 13 years of age, took place in the Turtle Lake community on April 22, 1920, at the nearby Jacob Wolf farm.
