This document explains when and why personal data of people using the Call Insider service (hereinafter referred to as the Service) are processed, in what way the data are used, under what conditions they can be made public and how we keep them safe.

We recommend you read the Privacy Policy regularly and check for potential changes. Changes to the Privacy Policy become effective the moment they are published on this page. By using our Service, you agree to these conditions.

Which personal data do we use?

Call log

In order to give you information about phone numbers, we need to anonymously send your call log on the server. Only phone numbers that you do not have saved in your contacts will be transmitted. We do not store or use your phone numbers from the call log for statistical or other purposes.

Contacts

Your contacts stay safely in your phone. The app needs to access them only so that it doesn’t send out the phone numbers you have saved in your contacts to the server. You phone number is not sent anywhere either, the app doesn’t know it and can’t even access it.

Personal data published by yourself

User comments

All the comments you publish are shared publicly with other users of the mobile app and website.

Named phone numbers

You can name phone numbers that are not saved in your contacts. By naming a number, you agree to us displaying that name to other users of the mobile app and website.

IP address

To protect our servers from automated data collection we can check your IP address. The IP address is stored only for the period of time necessary to ensure the safety of our servers.

Who has access to personal data?

Personal data are processed only on our servers and we don’t provide them to third parties.

We do not ask for unnecessary permissions

We take great care to protect your personal data. The application requires only those permissions that it actually needs for its function. Before each authorization request, we clearly explain why this authorization is needed. The user has the option not to grant permission, but the application may not function properly in this case.

How are personal data secured?

  • Data transfer from you to us – For a safe data transfer from the application to our server we use an SSL certificate issued by the company Let’s Encrypt.
  • Our data securing – To ensure the highest possible data security, we use all available and economically reasonable security tools.

Where are personal data stored and processed?

Servers belonging to the company OVH are used for the application operation and related storage and processing of personal data. All our servers are located in Germany.

Who are we?

We are the operators of a service meant for sharing information mainly about annoying, dangerous, spam or otherwise harmful phone numbers. We do not participate in creating the content personally; it is created solely by the Service visitors. We are, however, bound and determined to keep the content legal, especially in the area of personal data protection. You can contact us at our email or mailing address.

Personal data in comments

Every user publishing a comment agrees to the Terms and Conditions for Commenting. These terms and conditions forbid posting of personal data. We, however, cannot guarantee that no personal data will appear in the comments. If you find your personal data in a comment and object to them being posted, please contact us via email at callinsider.com @ or by mail.

Are you entitled to demand rectification?

Yes, you are entitled to demand correction or deletion of the personal data, as well as to raise an objection. We have one month to process your request, it is, however, usually faster. You will always be informed about the result. If you are not happy with the result, you are entitled to lodge a complaint with the supervisory organ.

How do we protect personal data of children?

We are bound to protect the privacy of children under the age of 16. If you are under 16, please get parental consent before you provide any personal data to us.

If you are a parent or a guardian and suspect that your child provided their personal data, contact us. If we find out that we have obtained personal information from a child under the age of 16 without parental consent, we will take action to remove the data from our servers.

Our application is not intended for users under 16 years old.

How to request the removal of personal data in comments?

A request to remove personal data can be sent by mail or by email to callinsider.com @ . We have one month to process your request after we receive it, however, we usually deal with it faster.
