Elkins is a city in and the county seat of Randolph County, West Virginia, United States. The community was incorporated in 1890 and named in honor of Stephen Benton Elkins, a U.S. Senator from West Virginia. The population was 7,094 at the 2010 census and estimated at 6,990 in 2019. It can take a while for the search engine to reindex the site content and display a relevant site excerpt. It generally takes weeks, occasionally it may take months.
