Hoosick Falls is a village in Rensselaer County, New York, United States. The population was 3,501 at the 2010 census. During its peak around 1900, the village had a population of about 7,000. Scamwatch is warning Australians to be wary of an online scam pretending to be from the Australian Boarder Force. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said a recorded message claiming to be from the Australian Boarder Force (ABF) is being sent around.
Scamwatch posted a tweet today saying people had been receiving phone calls with automated messages that pretended to inform the listener of a problem.
