Aptos is an unincorporated town in Santa Cruz County, California, United States. The town contains several small communities with a combined population of 24,402, including Aptos Hills-Larkin Valley, Aptos Village, Cabrillo, Seacliff, Rio Del Mar, and Seascape. Scamwatch is warning Australians to be wary of an online scam pretending to be from the Australian Boarder Force. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said a recorded message claiming to be from the Australian Boarder Force (ABF) is being sent around.
Scamwatch posted a tweet today saying people had been receiving phone calls with automated messages that pretended to inform the listener of a problem.
