New Milford is a town in Litchfield County, Connecticut, United States. The town is in western Connecticut, 14 miles north of Danbury, on the banks of the Housatonic River. It is the largest town in the state in terms of land area at nearly 62 square miles. The population was 28,142 according to the 2010 census, up from 27,121 at the 2000 census.
