Scamwatch is warning Australians to be wary of an online scam pretending to be from the Australian Boarder Force. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said a recorded message claiming to be from the Australian Boarder Force (ABF) is being sent around.
Scamwatch posted a tweet today saying people had been receiving phone calls with automated messages that pretended to inform the listener of a problem.
The service was created in 2011 in the Czech Republic. It is an online forum where the users can share their experience with phone numbers, both annoying (mostly telemarketing, surveys) and useful (e.g. couriers, offices). The service is for all those who want to know who a certain phone number 8777300190 belongs to and if it is desirable to answer a call from them.
