Telstra customers are being warned over an Indian call centre scam attempting to trick victims into handing over sensitive information that could be used for identity theft.
Destrehan is a census-designated place in St. Charles Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 11,535 at the 2010 census, an increase of 275 over the 2000 tabulation of 11,260. Telstra customers are being warned over an Indian call centre scam attempting to trick victims into handing over sensitive information that could be used for identity theft.
Scammers are posing as police officers to try and dupe people into handing over financial information. Phone calls even appear to come from a local police station, say officers from Camden Police Area Command in NSW, which is a warning the public to beware of the new tactics.
